We started as the DJ duo Rocktapussy, and changed the name to reflect our transition from DJs to band. DJ A-Cup used to be in a band and taught Mother Hubbard some tricks along the way...

do you play shows and how do they look like?
We like to play shows with lots of young people who like to dance! Ideally, glitter and sequins play a heavy role.
what was the craziest show you’ve ever played ?
One of our monthly parties we host and DJ at, Spandexxx, had a giant dancing polar bear as a guest. Eisbaer!
what was the worst and why?
Luckily, no show we’ve played has been bad enough to qualify as "worst," but we had a weird show where we played a street festival on the South Side of Chicago for a bunch of families. There were spinny rides and funnel cakes and people staring at us like we were from outer space.
what are your future plans?
Finish an album! We’ve already penned close to 30 songs...
are you going for the big deal or are you more the d.i.y. type?
Whoever can get our bills paid first, we’ll take that route. It’s a little unsustainable in our current mode of flying around and not making any money.

I fight against the 24 hour day to get everything I want done (and also to sleep as much as possible), mean people, and my own bad habits!

Stars Forever (unreleased) is my favorite song of the moment because it’s naked truth.
